What is covered, what is not, and how to wash a wrapped vehicle without shortening its life.
Every wrap we install carries a one year warranty on material and labor. If a panel lifts, bubbles or fails because of how it was printed or applied, we fix it. No argument, no diagnostic fee.
The 3M cast vinyl itself is rated for roughly five years of outdoor life in this climate. That is the material manufacturer rating, not a promise that nothing will ever happen to a truck that works for a living. Rock chips, scrapes from a gate, and a branch down the side of a van are not material failures.
What voids it: pressure washing at close range, automatic car washes with brushes, solvent based cleaners, and wax or polish containing petroleum distillates. Those will lift edges faster than sun ever will.
Mild automotive soap, soft mitt, rinse with a normal hose. No brush washes, no high pressure at the seams.
UV is what ages vinyl. A truck that sleeps under a carport will outlast one that bakes in a lot, every time.
Fuel, bird droppings and bug splatter are acidic. Get them off within a day or two and they leave nothing behind.
Wax is made for clearcoat. On printed vinyl it dulls the laminate and can lift edges. Plain soap and water is correct.
If you ever see an edge start to lift, call us. A five minute fix in month eight is a panel replacement in month twenty.
Wraps come off cleanly with heat when the time comes. Factory paint underneath is usually in better shape than the rest of the truck.
Call the shop. If it is covered we will take care of it, and if it is not we will tell you what it costs before we start.
